Derik, I just got back to Minneapolis and I'm still grinning. ABC instead of EBC was exactly the right call for a first trip. The pacing tips really did help with the altitude, I felt strong most days and only had a couple of mild headaches. Third Rock's team was professional but also fun to be around, just like you said. The teahouse tips paid off and I avoided the overpriced gear shops in Kathmandu thanks to your warning. Already telling people at work to look at your site before they plan anything in Nepal.
